Eligibility Criteria For BSF Group B & C Posts

SI (Master), Group “B”:

I a 10+2 diploma or its equivalent from a reputable school or board, and

ii) A Second Class Master Certificate issued by the Mercantile Marine Department, the Central or State Inland Water Transport Authority, or both.

Group “B” SI (Engine Driver):

I a 10+2 diploma or its equivalent from a reputable school or board, and

ii) A First Class Engine Driver Certificate from the Mercantile Marine Department, the Central or State Inland Water Transport Authority.

Group “B” in SI (Workshop):

a recognised university-level bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or an equivalent;

From a reputable university or institution, a three-year diploma in mechanical, marine, or automotive engineering is required.

HC (Master) (Group “C”

I A matriculation diploma from an accredited board or an equivalent

Serang Certificate (ii).

Engine Driver, Group “C,” HC

I A matriculation diploma from an accredited board or an equivalent

ii) Possessing a certificate for a second-class engine driver.

HC (Workshop)-Trade

1) High school graduation from an accredited board or its equivalent

(2) An Industrial Training Institute Diploma in the relevant trade (e.g., Carpentry, Electrician, Air Conditioner Technician, Electronics, Plumbing, or Motor Mechanic (Diesel/Petrol Engine) Machinist).

Group “C” of the CT(Crew):

I A matriculation diploma from an accredited board or an equivalent

ii) one year of boat operation experience with less than 265 horsepower and

iii) Should be capable of swimming in deep water unaided, and will submit an undertaking certificate in accordance with Annexure “D-1” with the application form.
