Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria to apply for the SSC CGL 2023 exam:
- Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India, Nepal, Bhutan or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962.
- Age Limit: The candidate must be between 18-32 years of age as on 1st August 2023. However, there are relaxations in the upper age limit for candidates belonging to reserved categories.
- Educational Qualification: The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
Exam Pattern:
The SSC CGL exam consists of four tiers:
- Tier I: Computer-based exam with objective type questions.
- Tier II: Computer-based exam with objective type questions.
- Tier III: Descriptive paper in English or Hindi.
- Tier IV: Computer proficiency test/skill test/document verification.
The detailed exam pattern for each tier is as follows:
- Tier I:
Total marks: 200
Duration: 60 minutes
Subjects: General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension.
- Tier II:
Total marks: 800
Duration: 120 minutes for each paper
Subjects: Paper-I (Quantitative Abilities), Paper-II (English Language and Comprehension), Paper-III (Statistics), and Paper-IV (General Studies).
- Tier III:
Total marks: 100
Duration: 60 minutes
Subjects: Descriptive paper in English or Hindi.
- Tier IV:
The Tier IV exam is a computer proficiency test/skill test/document verification. The details of the test will be announced later.
Application Process:
The application process for the SSC CGL 2023 exam will be conducted online through the official website of SSC. Candidates need to fill in the application form, upload the required documents, and pay the application fee. The application fee is Rs. 100 for General/OBC candidates, while SC/ST and female candidates are exempted from paying the fee.
Admit Card:
Candidates can download the admit card for each tier of the SSC CGL 2023 exam from the official website of SSC. The admit card will contain details such as the candidate’s name, roll number, exam center, date and time of the exam, and instructions to be followed during the exam.
Result:
The result of the SSC CGL 2023 exam will be announced on the official website of SSC. Candidates can check their result by entering their roll number and other required details.
